Install and configure shadcn/ui for React Router.

Create project

pnpm create react-router@latest my-app

Run the CLI

Run the shadcn-ui init command to setup your project:

pnpm dlx shadcn@latest init

Add Components

You can now start adding components to your project.

pnpm dlx shadcn@latest add button

The command above will add the Button component to your project. You can then import it like this:

app/routes/home.tsx
import { Button } from "~/components/ui/button"
 
import type { Route } from "./+types/home"
 
export function meta({}: Route.MetaArgs) {
  return [
    { title: "New React Router App" },
    { name: "description", content: "Welcome to React Router!" },
  ]
}
 
export default function Home() {
  return (
    <div className="flex flex-col items-center justify-center min-h-svh">
      <Button>Click me</Button>
    </div>
  )
